A Virtual Mr. Melton

English, Language Arts, and Life in a 2.0 Classroom

Mr. Melton’s Digital Classroom: Lessons, Memoirs, Ruminations and Other Odd Bits

The purpose of this blog is to make my classroom interactive and to welcome our objectives to world 2.0. While some lesson plans and podcasts (and other media) will be presented here for learning purposes, this will mainly be a place of educational extension. The things presented and discussed in class will appear here in several forms. First, I intend to provide extra material about the memoirs I use in class for writing and literary terms. For example, the picture of Wendy the day I switched the cereal will be here shortly as well as an audio sample of our “Neanderthal” text/audio messages from Christmas 1985. This site will mainly provide a digital connection that cannot exist as of yet in the classroom. I will try to add all the real world/literary world connections that I can. Student input will be expected. When you have ideas for me, let me know. This is for all of us.
